The Web 2.0 experience has been an eye opener for me in many ways. I started the exercise with an open mind but didn't realize just how very helpful it would be. Look forward to doing more exploring, I now realize this is the tip of the iceberg! Thanks for the opportunity .

I will be using Craig's List to view real estate options in the Catskill area. This posting was a listing for an apt. in an area that I spent much vacation time in many years ago. The valley is still a popular spot for both summer and winter sports.

Wikis are very helpful and enables us to share work related subjects in all aspects of our jobs at the library. I found the PALS wiki to be easy to navigate.

#13 Finding new feeds

I found many interesting feeds and added Gardening and Health topics to my Google reader. This activity was very interesting and informative and I will use it frequently.

#12 Discovering feeds on our catalog and website

I subscribed to the new Adult Non-fiction and DVD feeds. What a great way to keep on top of new releases. Patrons' feedback to the new website has been very positive.

RSS Feeds

I created a Google Reader account and subscribed to The New York Times Long Island edition. It will enable me to keep up with all the local news that I enjoy reading daily.

I downloaded 2 titles to my computer. Freakonomics by Stephen D. Levitt is the ebook I chose to read. For my audio book I chose After the Fire by Robin Gaby Fisher. The process was easy but I still like to hold a book in my hand.
